Neuromodulation treatments target the brain or nervous system at specific locations in the body, delivering mild electrical stimulation or drugs to relieve pain and/or restore function. At QPain we specialise in the use of neuromodulation for pain treatment and are actively involved in research.

Spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation are the techniques utilised most frequently at QPain. There are sometimes other options. Conditions suitable for this therapy include back pain, sciatica, complex regional pain syndromes (CRPS or RSD), pain persisting after spinal surgery affecting any of the neck, arms, back or legs, regional neuropathic (nerve) pain, and also intractable angina. Recent studies have shown unprecedented pain relief in conditions that have previously been difficult to treat.
